You'll have to bite the bullet and learn Maven. You don't absolutely
have to use it, but it's going to be a big handicap for you from here on
until you do. (My opinion.) I've noticed that the JBoss crowd is very
Maven-dedicated, but they're not alone. Even if you decide not to use
Maven, you'll often be fetching third-party JARs from Maven repository
sites as those are becoming the only place from which they're purveyed.
(Incidentally, while I have used Maven, I do not like and do not use it
unless obliged to work on software already using it.)
Also, JBoss has its own support forums. You'll get little to no help
with it in Eclipse forums. In the Eclipse web tools forum (this is the
newcomers' forum), you'll get help using Tomcat if you don't mind
walking that path instead of JBoss.
Hope this helps. Other may have divergeant opinions on this.
