Hi,

I just installed the emft-compare-SDK-0.7.0RC2 to do model compare
(.ecore) and I can't seem to get it working (that is against an Europa
configuration)/

I see it installed in configuration and see its 7 plugin in the about
plugin lists.

I also see the preference page for it, but when I do a compare of ecore
models, it comes up as a Text compare.

Am I missing a configuration setting here or what?

BTW, I did run Eclipse with a -clean start.

Also the only possibly related error that I see in the log is the following:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.help 4 0 2007-07-17 14:19:22.406
!MESSAGE Error reading help table of contents file
/"org.eclipse.emf.compare.doc/tocconcepts.xml" (skipping file)
!STACK 0
java.io.FileNotFoundException
at org.eclipse.help.internal.toc.TocFileParser.parse(TocFilePar ser.java:45)

Thanks
Alain

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

When you say that you see the preference page, did you actually add the file extension in
the "Model File" content-type.
You can do that with the preference panel in "General" then "Content types".

Cheers,

Stéphane,

Thanks for bringing this option to my attention, but in looking at it it
already has *.ecore,*.emfdiff and *.uml as locked and preset already.

Any other idea here?

Merci,Thanks
Alain

I have identified the culprit. It was caused by the content type plugin
from Ecliptical. I'll try to find out with them what is causing this.

Thanks
