Hello everybody

I am currently using Papyrus to model activity diagrams and Acceleo to validate such models using queries and transform them into a hardware description language. Then, I tried to define a profile but Papyrus/Eclipse does not seem to support addition of OCL constraints to stereotypes and automatic validation of such constraints.

What UML2 modeling tool that is integrated into Eclipse and compatible with Acceleo allows me to define profiles, add icons to stereotypes, and define and automatically evaluate OCL constraints?

Thanks in advance.

Thomas,

I don't really think that this is an Acceleo question?

Acceleo can handle any model as long as it is EMF-based. thus papyrus, ecore tools, topcased... or any modelers external to Eclipse that know how to export to an EMF format. Stereotypes are included in that.

However, the evaluation of OCL constraints for the validation is not handled by Acceleo. You might want to ask on the emf forum if there are graphical modelers that allow you to add OCL constraints to your model?

Hi

Papyrus reuses the EssentialOCL editor to support editing of OCL
constraints in Class Diagrams at least.

Ecore Tools will allow editing of OCL as EAnnotations in an Ecore
Diagram, but you have to handle all the boilerplate and you get no
syntax checking. Better to prepare the Diagram, then open the Ecore with
the OCLinEcore editor to add the constraints.
