I've been doing a lot of changes to my workspace and they way things are setup and somewhere a long the line, my C++ compiler has stopped adding the ".so" extension to my shared objects? It compiles just fine, but its compiling them without the extension?

Any ideas on how to get the extension back?

Please ask C/C++ question in the Eclipse CDT forum as told in the sticky
posts at the top of this one. You'll get more and better help there.
