I was testing Editor(Dojo) in a RUI handler, I dragged the Editor and dropped it in one of my Gridlayout cell, clicked Ok and suddenly EDT was closed. My EDT version is 0.7.0.v201112071300 and I use WinXP SP3 32bit. I have completed the PaymentFileMaintenance tutorial without any problem.

Daud,

Can you reproduce the problem? What's your default JVM in your system?

Can you find JVM dump log file under your EDT? If you're using the Sun JVM, then the log file name should be similar to hs_err_pid####.log. Could you please attach the log file to this topic? Thanks.

One thing I forgot to mention...

The log file should be under the EDT installation directory, such as 'D:\EDT_GA\eclipse' in my machine. Thanks.

Daud,

We found similar issue before, but it could not be consistently reproduced so closed the defect (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=364058). I just re-opened the defect.

I tried the scenario you described, but could not reproduce it. Could you supply me more detailed information? For example, how many handlers open in the EDT? Or only open 1 handler can always reproduce the problem? Can the problem be reproduced if you do the same operation in an empty new workspace?

If the problem annoys you, you can change the visual editor render engine to IE. Windows > Preference > EGL > Rich UI > Appearance > General > Visual Editor Render Engine > Select 'Trident (Internet Explorer)' > OK, and then reopen the handlers.

Rocky,
It is Ok now, the problem is solved by changing the Visual Editor Render Engine to IE as you suggested.
Thanks.
