Where have I been the last weeks?
It seems some of the last milestone releases I never actually announced.

In fact, the better part of my time for Eclipse has gone into the JDT, notably into the support for annotation-based null analysis [1].
For some time this feature was an excellent show case for Object Teams [2][3].
While it's a pity I had to give up using OT/J it's also a thrill to contribute this new feature for all users of the JDT.

Secretly during all that, also the New&Noteworthy for the OTDT milestone releases have accumulated some interesting improvements, please have a look [4]. Yes, that's right, that document reflects the status of OTDT 2.1 M4 which got recently shipped as part of the Eclipse Juno Simulaneous Release Train.

Another change behind the scenes has happened: the Object Teams source repository has been migrated from SVN to GIT. While I still have some issues with Git every now and then (and EGit has issues understanding what I want it to do Smile ) it feels good to live in a space where bug reports are being considered and the tooling continuously improves (frankly, for Subversive I gave up on this). Quite to my surprise, migrating the build from SVN to GIT was actually "almost smooth" Smile

Yes, fixing bugs in ad-hoc local branches is great and, no, I still don't do most of my commits while being disconnected on a airplane.

cheers,
Stephan
