The EDT 0.8.0 Project Plan has been updated so that it now includes the set of themes and content that is currently being considered for the 0.8.0 release. If you have any questions or comments about the information on this page, including requests for content that is not currently being considered for the 0.8.0 release, let us know by responding to this thread.

Marcel,
Dynamic loading is a candidate line item under the runtime performance theme. However, we are still identifying and prioritizing a number of items under that theme, so we don't yet know whether dynamic loading will make it into this short release.

We also have some design work to do, to determine whether dynamic loading should be implemented the same way as in RBD, or if we can improve and simplify the implementation.

EDT's JS runtime, by design, is more modulized then RBD. In RBD, everything is put together into one big HTML and downloaded together. In EDT, the HTML is small with some bootstrap code in it. The bootstrap code then loads the egl runtime (as one file) and dependent parts(each as one file). This modulized loading will make dynamic loading support easier.

That sounds great!

BTW I created a dynamic loader statistics panel, which shows statistics per package and object. I am happy to commit that to EDT dynamic loading.
