Identifying the cause of an "X" icon on a folder in PyDev project... [message #763359] Fri, 09 December 2011 16:29 Go to next message

All:

I am adding some external source code folders to a PyDev project in Eclipse. There is a difference in how Eclipse iconifies folders within a project. There is a square icon divided up with a cross hair which I think indicates a "package" and then the normal folder icon.

However, on some of my folders i have a "X" at the bottom left of the folder that seems to indicate some sort of error.

Can someone help me understand how I can find out what Eclipse is indicating that is wrong with the folder?

Thanks, Marc

I'm also noticing this "X" icon at the bottom left of some of my Python source files as well.

This forum doesn't support Python-specific issues. Surely these are the
same decorations that mean error in other Eclipse situations, but for
help with why they are there (Python code bad or not validating?),
you'll want to ask in a PyDev forum. As I don't do Python, I'm unable to
tell you exactly which forum that would be, but a good place to start
would be http://pydev.org/.

Best of luck.
