I am trying to connect to a remote SQLServer database. I have specified the driver, along with the location of the sqljdbc4.jar file. When I enter the other connection credentials and click 'Test Connection', Eclipse hangs and then says Not Responding. I looked in the .log files and found nothing. No error is returned either. Any help would be most appreciated. Proxy information is the same across Eclipse and other development tools.
****I can connect to the same database using other tools only Eclipse is not working.
My connection string looks like this:
jdbc:sqlserver://[/url]<host_server_address>:1433;databaseName=<db_name>
PLEASE HELP looming deadline.
