I downloaded the eclipse IDE and the IDE for c/c++ i merged the to eclipse folders and install the jre and when I start it I get the c/c++ ide (i copied the c/c++ eclipse folder over the base eclipse install). Do I need to have 2 seperat installs to create java and c/c++ projects?

Hi Rob,

I think you can work on the same ide, there should not be any problem.
Different workspace , working sets can help but that is up to you.

You can install all you want into one Eclipse. But please, do not
manually copy files! Use the installer instead - that's the only way
to get a consistent installation.

I suggest
- download the Eclipse SDK
- run it
- install all the additional and C++-Things you want from the indigo
update site
