Hi Allon
Yes, the BIRT charting capabilities are also available in the RAP WebUi of Scout. Soon it will be in the eclipse-repository. CQ will follow soon.

According to your answer Birt is the way to go...Does it mean I can use Birt then in the SWT/Swing and RAP client? Is Birt the standard charting application in Scout?

Yes, it is. Unfortunately our BIRT integration is not opensource and won't be on the Juno Eclipse Release. We'll try to release it on the following release of eclipse.
Sorry for the somewhat negative answer.

Now you confused me. You will put it into the eclipse repository but it is not open source?

What is coming with Juno is:
* RAP
* SVG Field

With these two technologies you can do a lot. In the demo application I showed at the Eclipse Day Paris this year, I have displayed a Bargraph in the SVG Field. Rendered in SWING, SWT and Rayo. (Slides).

For the moment (with Juno Release) you need to compute the SVG Code yourself. Many Libraries (JFreeChart, BIRT, Google Chart... ) can generate the code for you, but you need to bind them in your application yourself.

When Stefan is mentioning BIRT, he is speaking integration of BIRT in Scout.

Is there a code demo how you implemented it into Scout?

The code of the Application is hosted on eclipselabs.org.
http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/mcqs/

Check-out the preview branch for SVG and RAP integration.

This is provided 'as is', for the moment I did not took time to write a presentation or an installation guideline (you need to set-up the derby database with the provided scripts, and modify the config.ini to work with your database). There is also no warranty that the code will work with the last Scout RT and SDK nightly build (I do not remember which version I have used. I plan to update the code when trunc is more stable maybe with M3 or M4 release of Juno).

Have a look at AnswersListForm. But again this was for a demonstration... I wrote the SVG code myself.... (not a good idea in a real application).
