PerfMonAgent -v does not produce output anymore [message #83996] Sun, 24 September 2006 07:23 Go to next message

Hi,

I have installed TPTP 4.2.0.2
(Windows XP machine)

I got PerfmonAgent up-and-running with no problem. But when I tryed the old
"trick" to get PerfomAgent to be more verbose
(e.g. start the exe file with the -v option) it failed. It seams that the -v
option no longer has any effect.

Some error on my side or should -v no longer produce output?

/L

Searching through the source code, all the actual printf's to stdout
based on the VERBOSE flag being set are done in perflin.c... that's the
main collector on the *Linux* side of the house.

On the Windows side, sometime in the past (since sometime during 4.1
development, since our "migrated new tech AC Perfmon 'proof of concept'
port" still had VERBOSE printf's in it) there was a change to write out
the print statements to a logfile instead... Check to see if you can
find a PerfmonAgent.log file lying around. That log is only used when -v
is set, so you'll still need it.
