Hi,

does the RSE support connecting to windows shares? I can see in my
preferences, that connections to "Windows" systems should be possible, in
theory, but the connection wizard offers only "SSH only", "Linux", ...

Thanks,

Jochen

Hello Jochen,

the SMB protocol (which is what "Windows Shares" are based on) is not
supported by RSE out of the box. It would be possible to add it by doing
IFileService and IConnectorService implementations and contribute them
via the subsystemConfiguration extension point.

Out of the box, we support connections via secure shell (ssh), ftp and
dstore, which is an RSE-specific protocol using an agent on the remote
system.

Thanks,
