Let's say I deploy a report viewer in RCP, as described here. And I want to do something a bit hacky: to let users make changes to the model from the report Smile

Currently the best idea I have is to include a Scripted Data Set which makes the changes in "open" or "fetch" methods, and rerun the report. Any better alternatives?

It turns out that starting from Eclipse 3.5, it's possible to make Browser call Java from JavaScript Smile This should work fine, I think.
