Hi,
is it possible to create an "empty" subprocess in a process diagram with a
reference of to another *.bpmn file? This way a diagram wouldn't get too
big and I could separate parts of my workflow in other *.bpmn-files (like
in Magicdraw).

Bye

Hi, sure:
Create the subprocess, empty it, then drop the other bpmn_diagram file
on it, and have it be associated as a documentation.

Now you can open the other diagram by right-clicking and choosing the
Open menu, or you can press Shift and double-click on the shape, it will
bring the other diagram up.

Thanks,

Antoine

Thx Antoine,
just another question. Could I pass something like input or output
parameter into a subprocess, maybe out of a data object?
I would like the same data stored in a data object in my subprocess, which
is in a seperated file, like in the main process.

Is it clear what I mean?

ciao

You could have a graphical representation of such a thing. Associate two
data objects with your subprocess, then click on the associations and
choose their style: you should be able to choose their direction.

That way you can tell which one is used for the input or the output.

Thanks,

Antoine
