There are a handful of issues whose current status I'm not certain of. Maybe the team members can let us know if/when any of these are expected to be fixed? I ask because I'm trying to convert some co-workers to egit and getting push-back because of these issues.

1) Missing configuration support, particularly for merge.ff

2) File history doesn't follow renames

3) Reset and Checkout do not take an optional path (aka Replace With doesn't work on directories)

4) Uncommitted file or directory deletion can't be undone without a full reset of the branch (fixing (3) would probably eliminate this one).

See bugs.eclipse.org, add new and comment on existing. There patches
pending for some of these issues, at least #2. #1 should be low hanging
fruit for anyone who wants to get started. Fixing #3 seems reasonable
and might be easy for some cases, for others we'd need to invent things
in the UI.
