Hi,

sorry I have not much experience with acceleo and how to write modul files. My problem is: I have a UML file in which are some classes. For example Class A,B,C and D.
At the moment I have a modul file which creates from this classes java files. But now I want to filter. I do not want to create every class. For example I only want to create A.java and nothing else.
How could I do this? Thanks a lot.

Hi,

In order to start with Acceleo, you can find a quick start guide and a getting started guide online. A tutorial and video presentations are also available on the Acceleo wiki and/or the Obeo Network. You can find on the Obeo Network the Acceleo user guide and the best practices guide. You can also have a look at the internal documentation (Help -> Help Contents -> Acceleo) available in Eclipse. Finally, you can find open source generators online like this UML to Java generator available on github.com. By the way, if you are starting with Acceleo, I would recommend you to use Acceleo 3.1.1 that has just been released instead of Acceleo 3.0.2 which is six month old. You can use the Acceleo 3.1.x update site (http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/m2t/acceleo/updates/releases/3.1) or the Eclipse marketplace to download the latest release of Acceleo.

Thanks a lot. For the UML to Java generator from github do I need the Indigo Eclipse release? Because with Helios I do have problems by the execution with maven.

Hi,

For the UML to Java generator, you can use Helios it does not matter but you need Acceleo 3.1 (which was released with Indigo but it can be installed on Helios too). I have created this generator on Helios, so it will work. For the maven build, it does not use the Eclipse that you have installed, so Helios or Indigo, it does not matter. You can have a look at my blog to see how to build the generator with maven.

i don't know exactly what he is doing, but i think he can't receive the package .....0712.jar.pack.gz

Hi,

The Tycho build system may be slow the first time it is used in order to download all the dependencies. Are you sure that it is not downloading this file very slowly?
