Hi everyone,

Can you one of you provide me the details of tutorials from where i can start learning Eclipse Graphiti?

I have no idea on how to and where to start.

Tutorials provided with eclipse help is not sufficient to learn.

Please do help me in understanding eclipse.

And also please tell me should I need to have the knowledge of Eclipse plugin development and EMF for better understanding of Graphiti?

The (Graphiti) tutorial provided with Eclipse help is quite nice. What are you missing? Did you try to follow it?

Yes, I'd say that a basic knowldedge of Eclipse-RCP and EMF is needed. Graphiti hides the complexities of GEF (which is something!), but if you dont' know anything about Eclipse plugins/RCP you have to spend some time reading about it. The eclipse Help contains good material, and there are many online resources and books. Here are some nice tutorials about Eclipse plugins: http://www.vogella.de/eclipse.html The site also has some info about EMF, I mostly learned EMF from there.

I gone throught the EMF tutorials of whom you have provided the links. Can you please let me know, from where can I get more information on how to use Graphiti in conjunction with EMF?

Grapithi works above EMF, (and above Eclipse-RCP/plugin infrastructure).
So asking "how to use Graphiti in conjunction with EMF" is practically the same as asking "how to use Graphiti", the answer is the same as above: go through the Graphiti tutorial.

Thank you for your reply. I am currently able to create an EMF sample project and is able to generate and work with the generated plugin.

Can you please give me exact hint, on how to generate the Graphiti plugin? It would be too helpful for me.

There's an online version of the Graphiti Tutorial available at
http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/nav/27_0 (linked from the documentation page
at http://www.eclipse.org/graphiti/documentation/).

But the best way would be to really download Graphiti go step by step
through the tutorial as Hernan already wrote.
