Hi Verdan,

We are glad to hear of your interest in using Eclipse to address
construction industry specific IT issues. The OSEE Application Framework
enables the building of industry vertical applications by providing data
integration and other services to those applications. Your proposal fits
nicely with our plans for the OSEE project and we look forward to working
with you.

Regards,
Ryan Brooks

Hi Ryan,

Do you have an off-the-shelf assignment for me or do we have to come up
with one? My area is construction management and I can help you with
some industry specific requirements for the platform. Construction
management needs a platform like this because projects are very
expensive and their duration can easily exceed several decades.

Do you have anything for me to start off with? (A running version of the
platform, a white paper, a list of requirements).

I look forward to working with the OSEE team.

Regards,
Vedran.

Vedran:

Great to hear of your interests with OSEE. There are a number of
different areas that you could help with depending on your interests and
expertise.

Could you give a brief description of your experience including any work
with Eclipse, Java, plugin development and also which portions of OSEE
might be of interest to you.

A brief description of myself and Ryan (OSEE Project Leads) are at
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2008/index.php?page=presenters/#Ry an_Brooks
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2008/index.php?page=presenters/#Do nald_G._Dunne

Also, please submit a picture and company you wish to be added to our
contacts page at http://www.eclipse.org/osee/contact.php You can submit
your information using the bug at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=224930
We will add you as a contributor to begin with.

A great place to start, if you haven't already, would be to review the
following

Overview: http://www.eclipse.org/osee/
Components: http://www.eclipse.org/osee/components.php
Screencasts: http://www.eclipse.org/osee/demos.php
FAQ: http://www.eclipse.org/osee/faq.php

Regarding the development, you can start by looking at

Architecture: http://www.eclipse.org/osee/arch.php

And then get a development environment setup using
http://www.eclipse.org/osee/devSetup.php

Once we learn a little more about your interests, and answer any
questions you have about OSEE, we can figure out an area of interest.
