hi,

i put a few days to learn about the tptp-project, wrote two agents - one for
logging purposes (using cbe's) and the other to chart system-data in the
"statistical graph" - and attached the agents (from rac) via eclipse.
is there a way to include tptp-features in a rcp-application or to extract
the plugin to a rcp-application and extend it? i want to configure a rich
client, which uses tptp-features as "log view", "statistical graph" and
"statistical graph summaries" to attach my consisting agents.

thanks

Hi Martin,

TPTP features are packaged in both the runtime and SDK package. There is
currently no documentation on how to package tptp feature for rcp
application. In the existing feature configuration, there is a limitation
of JDT dependencies which may not be easy for rcp packaging. As it's
indicated in Eclipse Article Rich Client Tutorial
( http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-RCP-1/tutorial1.html), you can
try configuring your rcp application by plugin instead of feature.

There is an existing feature request opened to have tptp easier for rcp
packaging, bug 134531.

So, is it possible to use parts of TPTP (e.g. menu for attaching clients and
views for visualization) if I configure my rcp-application by plugin? Did I
caught that right?

I browsed some tutorials, but didn't find something on integrating - e.g.
views of TPTP - in RCP-applications. Has anybody experience, helpful
links... referring to this?

Thanks
