As mentioned, I proposed a STEM talk at this years ECE:

Interesting, that a dedicated "Industry Solution" track exists this year,
and so far the only talk accepted in this category really is a "Vertical"
solution (Movie Script Writing) so let's see, if any of the 2 industry talks
I proposed are also invited?

Please advise, if important current STEM features should be highlighted more
clearly, probably even increasing a chance of having STEM there again this
year?
Either comment or send directly to me, or mention during one of the next
calls.

Werner,
I think your abstract is excellent. I think it would be good to mention that we are now implementing vector disease models (malaria and dengue fever) and that these models use the new climate data plugins. Even without a predictive climate model scientist can learn a lot about the changing distribution of vector born diseases from this historic data.

Unfortunately the promise of "Industry Solutions" will mostly be limited to
the IT Industry.

With very few exceptions, e.g. the Script Writing talk from Brazil there are
just the same old Eclipse projects in "vertical" disguise, but focus and
subjects sound like there isn't much industry relevance, just the technology
and tools as before.
