Hi,

I am planning to move a project from a fairly hairy setup involving lots
of Ant hackery where Maven is used only for the sake of dependency
management to using Ant + Ivy istead.

I would also like to provide a mechanism for materializing a workspace
using Buckminster and later if that turns out well, probably introduce
it to the build and deployment process.

The question I have is how much dependency information is Buckminster
able to parse from Ivy dependency declarations?

Can I use Buckminster along with Ivy?

Hi Roland,

I would very much like to see Ivy support in Buckminster but so far nobody has shown any interest. So today there's no
support at all.

Hi,

Thanks for a reply. I had the same impression.

What would it involve to start writing one?

Hi Roland,

I think the most sensible thing would be to look at the p2 reader and the maven reader. They will give you a good hint
of what needs to be done in order to access a repository and create needed cspecs for the components found there.

Our source is in Git now http://git.eclipse.org/c/buckminster/buckminster.git/ and the projects in question would be
org.eclipse.buckminster.core and org.eclipse.buckminster.maven.
