Can someone point me to the source code for the current RAP demo shown at rap.eclipsesource.com/rapdemo/examples? This is not the same as the demo included in org.eclipse.rap.demo (1.4.0.20110614-2335).

I've used RCP in several projects, but I'm new to RAP.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Hi Tom,
you need two bundles from CVS [1]:
org.eclipse.rap.examples
org.eclipse.rap.examples.pages

Hi all,

Probably is not the right place where I have to say this ... but I was trying to perform the same task Tom was trying to achieve: running the simple rap demo.

I have been spending all day trying to figure out how to run it:

- Missing libraries
- Plugins that you have download from different places (and you don't know where)
- Examples that talk about indingo and rap 1.4 and when you try to run it you just end up in "frustration".

All the example have been already built with rap 1.5 ... no line says to check this.

Again sorry to say that ... I'm trying just to get in the RAP world with no documentation using a nice, complex, example from where to start (AND THE DEMO IS PERFECT).

Rap demo ok ... but so hard to put in place Sad

Again sorry for this message and thx again for all your effort in creating such a nice framework.

Hi Carmelo,
I understand your frustration about the missing fileupload/filedialog
bundles and their dependencies to apache fileupload and io bundles to
run the examples demo. As the demo page [1] state, we have a team
project set [2] (against nightly target platform or CVS HEAD) for the
demos. Unfortunately we forgot to update it with the including of
FileDialog in the Examples Demo. I've open a bug to do this task.
356485: [Website] Demos team project set is outdated

Sorry for the trouble,
Ivan

thank ivan for you help ...
i have checked the project and the example part it work now fine with rap 1.4 ...

i will wait for the missing bit
- fileupload/filedialog
- apache commons

I have noticed that there is a file-dialog.psf that sort of works for the apache bit. it download the filedialog but mess up with the fileupload (that anyway right now have still dependency with rap 1.5).

really appreciate your help
ciao
carmelo

if you could merge the file-dialog.psf inside the
org.eclipse.rap/incubator/supplemental/fileupload/org.eclipse.rap.rwt.supplemental.filedialog

with the demo.psf (once the dependency have been fixed) that probably would help more

Wink
have a nice day

Just a quick note: the RAP examples we can see on the demo page[1] have their source very easy to check:

Quote:
The second demo, referred to as the 'controls demo', shows what widgets there are and that they behave very similar to the SWT widgets.

To access and run these demo applications, please open the Plug-ins view (e.g. through the Plug-in Development perspective). Select the plug-in named org.eclipse.rap.demo which contains both demo applications, right-click on this plug-in and select Import as > Source Project. This plug-in will then appear with all source files in your workspace.

This quote comes from the Developer's Guide [2]
