Hey,

when setting up a target platform, I was wondering what the difference between an installation and directory is?

The description says that 'installation' is used for an eclipse SDK, but what is the exact difference under the hood?

Thank you Smile

Hi Sebastian,

A directory just contains a bunch of plugins that are added to the TP.

I can imagine that an installation is a local p2 repository which could point
to plugins on different locations.

Regards,

Wim
