Hi,

i am very interested in developing with Server Side eclipse. I want to use
it via the Servlet Bridge.

Which options exist for (more advanced) web development?

As far as I understood Servlet API and Servlet JSP API is implemented. I
found the Rich Ajax Platform (http://www.eclipse.org/rap) and a prototyp
of Rich Server Platform
(http://www.infonoia.com/en/eclipse_osgi_webapps.jsp).

And which options are usable in production?

Best regards,
TGau

Hi TGau,

the RAP project is an accepted Eclipse Technology project and will
release its 1.0 version on September, 28th. At the moment there are very
much early adopters with real-life applications built on RAP.

I think you should give it a try as it's really interesting because you
have the same concepts as with RCP. If you already have an RCP
application you can easily port it to RAP.

Just take a look at the newsgroup, it has been very active in the last
monthes.

Thank you for your reply. But there seem to be some problems with
performance under IE6.

That's why I'm looking for other options.
