I have installed the latest release of PDT All In One. The problem is
that PHP is not showing up when I select New Other in the Project Explorer
I can't see it in the preferences section either to change editor stuff. I
only see Java

This is a very common problem. Ensure you are using at least Java 5.0 to run PDT. You are most
likely using Java 1.4.2.

To check go to help-->About Eclipse and click on Configuration Details. You should be able to
determine the version of java you are using from that, look for something like

java.version=1.5.0

which in my case shows that it is Java 5.0

Assaf, Guy, Roy, (others)... do you think we could avoid these FAQ
questions if we improved the installation instructions on the
website/downloads page to point to these more current wiki docs?

If so, show some love for bug 231851.

Nick,
Thanks for raising this.
We'll review your proposals and update the documentation.

Guy.
