Why is not AJDT looking in the plugin dependencies ? [message #71893] Thu, 03 July 2008 12:53 Go to next message

Hello,

I want to aspectize a plugin whatever its jar version. But when
configuring the inpath only jars can be pointed on. I would really prefer
to point on plugins so that I can take advantage of OSGI dependency
mechanism.

Is there a way to aspectize properly a plugin ?

François

Hi,

I think the Equinox Aspects effort could be interesting for you.
See http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/incubator/aspects/index.php

With AJDT 1.5.3, both inpath and aspectpath support more than just jar
dependencies - including project and container dependencies. See the new
and noteworthy for more information:

http://www.eclipse.org/ajdt/whatsnew153/index.html

this functionality will be in AJDT for Eclipse 3.4 shortly.

please use the mailing list if you can, you will get a much faster reply
than on the newsgroup.
