I really don't think it's semantically correct (to have checkboxes in a combo) Combo is
single select, However our user experience person insists that this makes sense, so user can select multiple and tooltip shows the real selections when the combo is collapsed. Or maybe a ListViewer which can hold checkable items (but the list to be folded and renders itself like a combobox.)

All I can think of is TableCombo from Nebula which uses an SWT-Table
which can have checkboxes shown.
