If I open a commit in a window I can see the SHA in the title but I can't find a way to copy it to the clipboard so that I can then paste it elsewhere. Am I missing something obvious or is this not supported?

This is indeed not yet supported. You may file a bug for that.

Turns out you can copy the SHA from the right-click menu of History items. Somewhat obscure, but a useful workaround until this operation is available in commit windows and the reflog view.
