Could you be more specific? What do you find lacking?
I think that the PDT User Guide is quite helpful (available through the
"Help" menu). There are also links inside it so you can submit feedback
directly to the people writing it.
Besides the help, there is the wiki page (http://wiki.eclipse.org/PDT) with
more information.

from the Drupal project, pdt didn't do anything. The outline stayed blank,
and none of the code assists did anything. I've used the user guide(which
has a lot more info than the wiki, or atleast it's a lot easier to find
info in the user guide in the help menu than in the wiki) and double
checked that the auto completion settings are accurate. But I still have
to manually press ctrl+space to get it to pop up. Same with the function
parameter hints.
I'm using Ubuntu hardy, but I downloaded eclipse 3.3 from the eclipse
website rather than use ubuntu's version.

imported a project from a svn repo, and added a php file.
How can I tell pdt that a project is a php project?
