Hi all,

i designed a lot of FSMs within the last weeks. I often thought it would be a helpfull feature to automatically compose a group of states together within a superstate without redrawing transitions and copy and paste action code. The reverse feature decompose (to reduce one level of hierarchy) would also be nice to have.
This would be very helpfull within the daily work.
It ist clearly not a feature for the first release, but a long term issue.

What do you think ?

Hi Thomas,

would cut/copy/paste be sufficient for this purpose? Or have you thought of a more elaborate mechanism?

Please feel free to file an enhancement request in bugzilla.

Hi Henrik,

my thought was to preserve the triggers from the higher state during decomposing, or automatically generate entry/exit points during composing of a superstate. But your are right, we should go with copy and paste and collect some experiances to decide if it is worth to spent the effort.
