Chris,

I really like the idea of mascara and I really liked the demo on it. Whats
the best way to get involved in this project? It looks like similar things
are developed by eRCP or even SWT comes up with similar improvements. How
does a project proposal become a "project"?

Regards,

Hi Philipp,

The proposal will follow the set process set up by Eclipse. As I
understand it the proposal will eventually get to the review stage, be
reviewed and either accepted or rejected. If approved there are tons of
ways you could help, from contributing code, to testing and documentation.

Hi Mik,

Hmm. The Expressions stuff looks interesting. Thanks for the links.

I don't know if it makes sense to integrate with Forms. I think Forms
offers more of a framework, where Mascara is more focused on individual
widgets. I hope to keep Mascara very focused so as not to overstep
anyone else and also so I can make sure it all gets done :)

Regarding designer support, that will come too. VE and other design
tools can use any custom widget as long as it supports a Composite, int
constructor. Mascara will enable that. For Forms, doesn't
Instantiations SWT Designer support Form visual design already?
