Can anyone help? Is there a way to work around this problem?

I want to upgrade because I am experiencing a bug related to JSP Indexing, which has been fixed in the latest release.

Well, first that update from 0218 to 0301 is probably not exactly what
you want, and is a bit of a bug itself, a "fake udpate".
See bug 343667 [1].

Second, that bug, combined with another causes "udpates" to happen when
they probably should not.
See bug 345503 [2].

Third, if you are going for the latest release from Web Tools project,
its not quite been released yet,
but is planned for this coming Friday.

Fourth, none of the above explain "MD5 Hash" problems, and I've no idea
what that's about. But, I'd suggest you try to narrow it down by
enabling only those software sites you really want to get updates from,
and seeing if that changes the results. I suppose it is possible you
really are getting "bad artifacts" from some mirror that has tampered
with the jar files ... but, that seems pretty unlikely. I've never heard
of that happening.

Hope this helps a little.

Yeah David. That helps a lot. Thanks for the quick and thorough response.

I'll keep my eyes open for a solid release.

Cheers!
