Hi,

I am sure I am missing something blatant, but I can't see a way around
this minor annoyance with Eclipse.

If I do a file search in my project Eclipse might return, (in the search
tab), a list of files that contain what I was looking for.

If I then click on one file it opens it.

But If I click on another it closes the first file.

I don't want it to do that.

In fact, I don't want Eclipse to close any files for me, I will do it if
I want.

Is there a way to turn this feature off? To prevent auto-closing of files?

Window > Preferences > General > Search > "Reuse editors to show matches"
turn the check off.
