config.ini deleted by Mac generated RCP p2-enabled app [message #668212] |

As someone relatively unsophisticated about RCP and p2, I have had a miserable time getting a successful RCP build that allows a user to use the p2-based facilities to add new software from a site (using the 3.6 replacement for the Update Manager). After MUCH file fidddling, I have something that seems to work.
Now, when installed on a Macintosh my RCP app does something very odd the first time it is run: it deletes its configuration/config.ini file. Indeed, if you happen to have the "configuration" folder open as it starts up you can see the configuration/config.ini file suddenly popping out of existence! Of course, the app won't start again after that. However, if the config.ini file is copied back in its proper place the app will start, and the app then doesnt' seem to want to erase it again.
Any suggestions on what I should be looking at?
I am building my RCP app with the PDE tools in Eclipse verson 3.6.1 on the Macintosh.
