Hello,
I use Mylyn a lot but I frequently stumble on something that bugs me.

I start eclipse, I have no task activated, I open a couple of files hunting for the cause of a bug then someone ask me to work on something else.

I would like to copy my "current context" to one of the inactive tasks, perhaps creating a new one along the way and then activate another task present in my task list to start working on this new stuff.

I can't find a way to get a hold on this "current context" (but my package explorer is focused and I only see classes and methods I visited) because I have no tasks presently active ... Mad

Am I the only weirdo that starts working on something before I activate the corresponding task ??

Thanks for any help !

You are certainly not the only one who works in this way. There is an open
enhancement request in Bugzilla to support creating contexts from open
editors:

329944: populate context with open editors (was: create new task from open
editors)
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=329944

It would be appreciated if you voted for the bug and added a comment with
your requirements.

Thanks!

Steffen

Thanks for responding.

I've added my use case to the bug.

I could not find the "vote for this bug" link however ? I still have 2 votes to distribute, so it must be something else... I notice my name got added to the CC list : maybe one cannot vote for something where he is in the CC list ? Obviously, I know nothing about bugzilla...
