Hi, I am following up on a previous post., sorry.

It's about applying a bug fix patch to the e4 installation.
I am using eclipse-SDK-I20110312-1300-win32.

I am a newbie so I searched how to apply a bug fix patch but I am not able to know exactly how. Is it using the Team perspective in eclipse platform? But how to apply the patch to the e4 src code (not my project ).

Why not simply downloading the latest I-Build then you have everything
you want!

If you want to run on the latest sources all the times you can naturally
checkout everything from CVS and launch things in an inner Eclipse but
if you are a newbie I think you are better served fetching the latest
build from Eclipse.

Here are the general guidelines, although applied to a different set of
plugins: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI/How_to_Contribute

In e4, I would:

1) use File>Import...>Plug-ins and Fragments to import the plugin in
question from a repository.

2) if the patch is in bugzilla, you can Select All (when it's in text
mode) and then go to the Package Explorer and simply Paste ... it will
automatically try and apply the patch for you.
