Hello,

Eclipse for PHP Developers is not available for download at:

http://eclipse.org/downloads/index-developer.php

(for Indigo M6/a), while it used to be avilable for Indigo M5 and Indigo M4.

Is this intended?

Cordially,

Felix

Current pdt build is broken because of changes in classes and interfaces. You
are not able to write much, many errors will appear. DLTK for eclipse should be
updated.

The latest PDT bits are available in the project's update site.

http://download.eclipse.org/tools/pdt/updates/3.0/milestones

The aggregation script has also been updated, so these bits should be in the next Indigo RC.

Thanks for a link, I'll check this and report if it's ok now. Official version
is still broken, old version I'm using now contains some bugs with large php
files but it's still much better than newest "official" from indigo.
Thanks again :)

Thanks of the link. I tried to install it on indigo rc1 and - it worked :)

Just a silly question: Is this link published on any available document
(download page, roadmap, wiki etc. ?) or do we have to "guess" it ?

Regards,
Nikolai

Actually how is the PDT development organised? Who maintains the webpages? Although not totally dead, the dev mailinglist is very quiet except for Hudson messages...

According to the Review Documentation of EPP[*], "Eclipse for PHP Developers" has been removed from the Indigo EPP build.

So, there will be no PDT release any more?

Have a look:
http://eclipse.org/downloads/php_package.php

Due to lack of a package maintainer for the Indigo release... whatashame :(

The truth is that newest PDT still contains many critical errors. Most of them
are submitted in bugzilla and they are there, frequent without any response from
developers or other users. I think that releasing that code will cause much more
side effects than just to not have release with this version.

I hope this will change, Eclipse is great IDE, PDT is just bit abandoned, I
would like to help somehow, but I don't think I can without better java skill,
on the other hand the best place for such help should be bugzilla where nothing
happens there :/

Is there any other IDE that we could look at to replace PDT?

It's not so hard to help with simple things like bug reports, tests etc.
BTW: Javascript is "bit" different than Java ;-)

Nothing better, some people like netbeans, but I could not stand it. Eclipse is
still much better with complex tasks. Netbeans lacks very important features
like Mylyn.
