Hi,

I have a table with several groups defined. Now for each group I need to
preprocess the data for that group by removing some of the rows from
that group. In particular the aggregations defined for these groups
should not take these rows into account. The thing is that whether the
row should be removed or not, does not depend only on the row itself,
but rather on its relation to other rows in the group. Thus I can't see
how I could use normal filtering here. Instead what I'm looking for is
how to preprocess the set of rows for each group being created. Which
element should I attach the script to? What event should I handle? How
can I access the rows for the group?

It would be nice if I could preprocess each group independently. i.e.
removing some rows for the higer-level group should only impact
aggregations for that group and should not remove rows from the
lower-level groups it contains (unless I decide to remove them at that
level). But I don't know yet if I will need it.

To give you an idea of how I need to preprocess the data: each row is of
some kind (which has nothing to do with the groups defined in table).
Now if there're more than 50% of rows of a particular kind in a group, I
should randomly remove rows of that kind so that there are no more than
50% of them in a group.

Any hints would be appreciated,

Michal

Michal,

Could you not add a group aggregation to the binding then use the table
filter to filter on it. Take a look at this example. It only shows the
first two rows of every order (grouped by order number);

Jason
