I am using the DTP, connected to an Oracle database.
Using the data source explorer, I am navigating to a schema, and then to Packages, then to the appropriate package I want, then to the Body.

I can see the functions / procedures listed in the package.

If I choose to edit the package body, I get the message 'Failed to get source'.

I was hoping that this action would display the source of the package body for me.

I can do a 'generate ddl' however.

Why will it not display the source of the package? I want to edit and re-compile.

I am using Eclipse 3.6.1, with DTP 1.8.1

The Oracle support in DTP isn't great. Oracle has an updated set of plugins available from their site...

You can grab it here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/eclipse/ov erview/index.html

Hopefully it will solve the problems you're seeing.
