[EVL] Validation on EMF editor [message #656523]

Hi there,

Is it possible to use EVL for validating not only the GMF diagram but also the (EMF) model itself?
In the GMF mindmap tutorial for example, I would like to validate the xxx.mindmap file (in addition to the xxx.minmap_diagram). Is this possible with EVL?

Hi Christian,

To do this, you need to open the .mindmap file, right-click on the root model element and select "Validate".

Oh, now that's kinda embarassing Smile

I expected it to be under Edit -> Validate (like in GMF)..

I want to run the validation whenever i save the model file, like i did for the diagram via XXXDocumentProvider. Can you help me out on this matter, or should I post this question in the EMF forums?

I'm not really sure how to do this (haven't needed to so far) so I guess asking in the EMF newsgroup sounds like a good idea.
