Layout issues after using IWorkBenchPage.hideView [message #656473]

When I close a view by clicking on the X in its tab, the view disappears, and other workbench parts are resized and relayouted.

When I close the same view using IWorkBenchPage.hideView, the view disappears, other workbench parts are resized, but their contents are NOT resized.

Anyone else noticed this behavior? Is this a bug (3.6.1.M20100909-0800), or am I forgetting something?
