This question is actually split into two parts: A silly and not quite as silly one:

* Silly silly: If I create a few projects, share (and commit) them in git and then delete them all, how can I commit the "empty" workspace afterwards in egit?

* "just" silly: Same question as above but for one project only: How can I commit the deletion of a project (assuming that the project is the highest instance I can "see" in eclipse' workspace)

Regards
Kay

Same answer for both. There is a bug report for that at

Yes, after asking the question here, I tried around a little more in eclipse but did not find a solution. Thus, I created the bug but didn't mention it here, sorry.

Btw: As a workaround I commit with command line git for now, which of course works fine.

Currently the only way is to import the root of the repository as a "General Project" - but that's probably not what you want Sad
