I have two elements in a diagram and I want to connect them with an arrow (link). One of the elements lies inside of another (nested elements).

And here's the weird behaviour: if I hover the mouse on the source element, the two small arrows appear beside that element (like it always does in GMF). I can click one and drag it to the target element. The problem is that I see the "not allowed" sign if I drop it on the target element, like I would not be allowed to create that connection, although I am. BUT: if I create this arrow with the tool from the Palette, it works!

What is the difference between creating a link with a Palette tool (which I designed in the gmfgraph), or simply by hovering with the mouse over the source element, wait for the little arrows to appear, and then drag one (ingoing or outgoing connection) to the target element?

Thank you.
