Hi,

Is there any API included in the EMF code download that allows serialization of EMF data to Relational DB? i mean without having to write a custom serializer for the same.

You may want to have a look at the Teneo project or the CDO Model Repository project. Both projects support database persistence. CDO's scope is a little broader, though. If you have more specific questions we'll be happy to answer them here ;-)
