Hi!

I execute my SWTBot test by remote session on a mac without connected display.
But without display it is not possible to make screenshots because the pasteboard is null.
My workaround until now was a resistor which made my mac believe that there is a connected display.

Now I changed to a mac which uses the "mini Display" port.
Unfortunately the trick does not work anymore(I believe. Did not completely figure it out yet)

Does anybody have an idea?

Infos about the trick:

I'd documented something similar
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/SWTBot/CI_Server) for linux and windows, seems
you're in a similar boat.

If all else fails, open a VNC session to your mac and leave it open. Or
perhaps VNC from another account on the same mac and leave it open :)

If something works for you, it would be great if you could document it
on the wiki above.

This is MAC specific problem.
I do not need a connected monitor to have a display on unix or win os.

I solved the problem in the same way as last time.
- Adapter for minimac display port to VGA
- Then a resistor connecting the correct 2 pins - done.

MAC believes there is a monitor and OS has a display -> Black screen problem solved
