Hello,

Will Buckminster have talks (haven't seen any in the schedule yet) or BoF sessions?

thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

We have nothing planned for EclipseCon this year. I can only answer for the Cloudsmith people of course but I haven't
seen any other activity on the website.

Regards,
Thomas Hallgren

Thanks Thomas,

Are there any people who use Buckminster will be attending EclipseCon? May be we can get together for our own BoF and share tools of trade?

thanks,
Alex

I'm using Buckminster and I'll be there. But usually I attend some modeling BOF. In any case you'll have the chance to propose a BOF on the public BOF-board and you should take that chance ;-)

I'll try, just wish it will not be eclipsed by Maven/Tycho Sad

I will be there. We started using Buckminster after last year's
EclipseCon. (Lets just say that I do not want to go back to PDE build...)

I'll be there.. I would be majorly bummed to see all the investment in Buckminster builds replaced by Yet Another build methodology. I like Buckminster despite or perhaps because of all of the PDE P2 Build issues that come up -- it makes them transparent at least -- and after transtioning from PDE build last year I'd sooner give up on Eclipse build altogether rather than do through *that* again.

Yup, same here. We have little interest in Maven/Tycho build approach at this point. Investment into new build system based on maven does not justify the ease with which Buckminster builds work for us.

Whoever is going to be attending EclipseCon and is interested in talking about Buckminster let's put "Bucky" on the "interested in" badge that I think they will have available.

OK, good idea. Can anyone check if there is a way to add a BoF still? I'm up to my eyeballs here..

Is this something that can be done at the start of conference or suppose to be done prior to that?

Before hand...and come to think of it I suspect that there won't be a lot of people around to deal with this now. You might check the talk submission system on the eclipsecon.org site, but that is probably locked down. If this doesn't work we could just put something informal together during the other BoF sessions.
