Does anyone know what tools are available for making the plugin installation process as easy as possible? I would like to avoid requiring the user to edit any configuration files or place certain files in the class path. I'm helping to develop a plugin that utilizes ESAPI and the setup process seems to be a real pain and I don't want the end users of my plugin to have to go through the ESAPI setup process.

P.S. Sorry if this has been covered in another thread I'm new to this forum and I didn't see anything when I searched.

Plus any specific questions regarding P2 would be best answered in the
P2 forum.

there seems to be too many installation variables, different platforms, dist specifications for you to make this installation process easier.
it is a basic question of any engineer to ask your question, the best advice is to refer to installation books and take it slowly accepting errors will occur and memory(human) will make things difficult or just to the point where you will eventually understand the installation procedure and why it is like that.
