Hi there, I am using Subversive as my SVN plugin for about a year and with Galileo the shortcuts for update/commit work just fine but now in Hellios I'm not able to do an update with Ctrl+Alt+U as described on tips as seen on [1]. I'm using GNU/Linux Ubuntu 9.10 and Eclipse Hellios (3.6.1) with PHPEclipse and Subversive plugins only [2]. Eclipse says it found an update por SVN Connectors but it can't be applied [3].

Can you help me with this problem?

Thanks in advance

Hi Cristian,

this is a known issue and comes due to changes in the Helios release... I do not remember the exact
details now.

This should help:

1. Switch to your Java perspective
2. Window / Customize Perspective...
3. Select tab "Command Groups Availability"
4. Scroll down to "SVN" and enable it.

This procedure should do the job for you.

Have success!

Jörg

Thanks for your answer Jörg, It works just as you say. I did it from PHP Perspective like this:

1. Window / Customize Perspective...
2. Select tab "Command Groups Availability"
3. Scroll down to "SVN" and enable it.

And it works immediately!!!

Thanks again for the help

Great to hear, Cristian!

With 3.6 the Eclipse core somehow changed the handling of these shortcuts and Subversive did not
adapt, or used a deprecated style or Eclipse core forgot to provide a migration...

In short: I do not know the reasons exactly :-)

Cheers, Jörg

Thanks for your explanation, I hope that shortcuts will be available by default in next versions of eclipse but the tip you gave works like a charm!!
