Hi,
Just noticed when I was worried, that an UOMo example failed for just 2 or 3
days (all the main OSGi bundles are stable, I just haven't unbundled the
overall build into e.g. "Lib" and "Examples") that there are other cases
doing much worse: cbi-scout-sdk-3.7.0-nightly has been failing since
16.12.2010 08:29:10 and nobody bothered fixing that.
It's quite a shame, 5 projects bothering with the same problem, Data-binding
are wasting presentation slots at EclipseCon this year, while many other
innovative, new or even life-saving (healthcare ;-) projects were ignored.
It seems many of those were selected, because a corporate vendor has poured
money into buying a conference booth, donated to Eclipse Foundation or
similar. That's OK, but please keep the quality of your software at an equal
level, else you're just wasting everybody's time, not just at Eclipse. Other
commercial vendors behind reasonably succesful products out there have
constantly failed in trying to provide something useful and reusable out of
those. EFMP/EclipseFinancial, ScalaModules, Blinki or Subversive are just a
few examples, I don't mention the vendors, just look up who was behind
those. Please don't follow their path.
Thanks,
Werner
